# Solid State Logic Pure Drive Quad Preamp Module Mic Pre's, Conversion and USB Soundcard SSL (Solid State Logic) Tech/Pro Audio Gear

The **Solid State Logic Pure Drive Quad** is a powerhouse 4-channel outboard microphone preamplifier, ultra-high-fidelity digital converter, and USB-C soundcard combined into a premium 2U rackmount masterpiece. Born from the legendary SuperAnalogue architecture of SSL's world-renowned **ORIGIN recording console**, this module delivers the coveted British console sound straight to your studio setup. Whether routing complex outboard gear over analog lines or tracking pristine multi-channel sessions directly into your computer via USB, the [Pure Drive Quad](https://www.google.com/search?ibp=oshop&prds=pvt:hg,pvo:29,imageDocid:1906444914915145950,headlineOfferDocid:14445272338768511221,productDocid:14445272338768511221&q=product&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwij1N2Es6mWAxViJkQIHTvSKEcQxa4PegYIAAgOEAM) functions as the ultimate hybrid studio engine.

What makes the SSL Pure Drive Quad a studio game-changer?

The Pure Drive Quad redefines microphone preamplification by offering **three switchable sonic modes** independently for every channel. Toggle to **Clean mode** to experience SSL's signature ultra-low noise floor and highly linear transient response. Switch into **Classic Drive** to inject rich, warm odd-harmonic saturation that responds dynamically to your input gain. Or engage **Asymmetric Drive** to emphasize even harmonics, creating a thick, heavily colored tone with softened transients that instantly brings acoustic tracks to life.

Core Performance & Hardware Feature Set

- **Four High-Performance PureDrive Preamps:** Based on the prestigious ORIGIN console, offering up to **+65dB of stepped analog gain** for clinical precision and effortless session recall.
- **31-Step Independent Trim Control:** Dial in precise 1dB increments. Drive your signals hard via the preamp gain stage to saturate your tracks, then attenuate the volume cleanly using Trim to avoid digital clipping.
- **Variable Mic Input Impedance:** Select between **4 distinct impedance modes**. Reshape the frequency response of your dynamic and ribbon microphones to uncover hidden tonal characteristics.
- **32-Bit / 192 kHz AD/DA Converters:** Next-generation digital conversion provides breathtaking clarity, working alongside professional studio audio I/O headroom levels (+24 dBu = 0 dBFS).
- **Integrated USB-C Soundcard Mode:** Functions as a standalone high-performance interface with **12 inputs and 12 outputs** (@ 44.1/48 kHz). Track four analog channels alongside 8 digital ADAT inputs natively into your DAW.
- **Front-Panel Hi-Z DI Inputs:** Equipped with smart **automatic input detection**. Plug in electric guitars or basses and the unit immediately reroutes the signal path internally.
